"Dying Eyes" was written in 2006 by Stephen Freeman and Michael Yates for their band Halidom. Ever since the disbandment of the band the two have wanted to work together musically as they maintained their friendship for years to come. In 2012 the duo decided to re-record "Dying Eyes" for a side project while continuing as full-time musicians in their current bands -- This Tragic Day, Arvada, and Scent of Remains.
